The project discusses the breakup of the father and daughter relation. This project's inspiration is rather personal. It was challenging to talk to my father. When we held opposing viewpoints, we would always quarrel fiercely. Additionally, there have been moments when we unintentionally injured each other by saying something. Two previous posters I sketched served as the basis for this project's concept. Two letters were written—one in Chinese for my father and one in English for myself. In an effort to heal the relationship between my father and I, I wish to go further into this topic. I would utilize my ability to keep calm in order to communicate thoughts rationally in this project. With this initiative, I can relatively comfortably release of my feeling of vulnerability and euphemistically express my thoughts to my father.
I chose 10 various objects that appeared in this relation. While some of them depict misery and unhappiness, others represent joyful moments. I made a series of postcard to express what I wanted to say. In my opinion, mailing a postcard to someone is a more traditional form of communication than texting or calling. Writing will take time, which will allow me time to consider what to say. It can prevent impulsive feelings from hurting the recipient directly. As a result, I decided to express my idea through postcards.
